While staying in one of the original cabins in 2016, with nothing but nature, silence, and history surrounding me, I wondered what it would be like if we were forced to leave behind life as we know it in modern life to live that way again. Thus was born, Sector Seven and the story of Amia and the other citizens of the harsh community. Massive rains fell, and flood waters forced us up to our new mountain home in Sector Seven. Mullis) started writing at a young age then published her first novel, a young adult fantasy called Friedenland in 2013 while teaching middle school English as a way to encourage her students to pick up a book and learn to love reading. She put aside her love for fiction writing in 2016 following her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis to work on her Find your Inner Super G non-fiction empowerment guide to help readers find a way to overcome difficult situations like she had learned to do in her new life with MS. She has a passion and interest in history and ancestry, and began studying her own by traveling to Bush Mountain to stay on her family's late 1800s mountain settlement, Hensley Settlement, which inspired the Seven Evils books.
