Sierra Leone was one of the jewels of British Africa. In recent years, it has suffered through some troublesome years. Happily, the country is regaining stability and re-asserting itself as a desirable tourist destination. We have been fortunate in receiving considerable assistance from the Sierra Leone Tourism Authority in the updating of this map, which also includes a large inset map of Freetown, the country's capital.
