Simple Pleasures is a collection of seventeen poems by Baltimore Poet, Linda Lee Adams. Within this chapbook, the reader will hike through Black Forest, Germany, witness the Francis Scott Key Bridge tragedy, experience the natural world, visit childhood memories and learn about historical events. The cornerstone of this collection includes three poems: "The Daughter's Dressmaker," a loving tribute to the author's immigrant mother; "The Fallen," the FSK Bridge tragedy; and the host poem, "Simple Pleasures," highlighting the beauty in life. The poems are written in various styles: blank verse, haiku, cinquain and free verse.
