Slaying Dragons: Quotes, Poetry, & a Few Short Stories for Every Day of the Year is the next in a collection of inspirational books by American author and novelist, Richelle E. Goodrich. In the same style as Smile Anyway and Making Wishes, Slaying Dragons offers readers original daily quotes, poems, and an occasional story. Ponder meaningful quotes like the popular following: "There are tomorrows on their way worth the struggles of today. Never give up." “When it comes to fighting for your dreams, be a dragon. Breathe fire.” “I can overlook the lie; what's harder to ignore is the grotesque way it has marred your character.” “Too often we let others stamp a price tag on us and we accept their appraisal of our worth, forgetting we are in fact priceless.” “When you love someone, you don’t care that she ate your sandwich. You only hope she found it delicious.” “Habits grow like dragons if you feed them.” This book was written to entertain, inspire, and motivate individuals on a daily basis. Richelle E. Goodrich was born in Utah but spent most of her childhood and adult life in Central Washington where she raised three amazing young men and then sent them off to college. The author now resides in Oklahoma, enjoying the blessings of a new, happy marriage. In her twenties, Richelle graduated from Eastern Washington University with bachelor's degrees in Liberal Studies and Natural Science / Mathematics Education, but she has always had a strong love of the arts. She sketches, paints, plays some piano and guitar, writes original stories and poetry, keeps a running blogsite, and has acted in theatrical plays.  Her quotes have been published numerous places including the Oxford  Philosophy Being Human  Course Book, in eight separate  Chicken Soup for the Soul books, in a Revlon magazine ad campaign, and on a television episode of Alone . Richelle loves growing as an author, and writes new material whenever opportunity presents itself. She describes herself beautifully in the following quote: "I like bubbles in everything. I respect the power of silence. In cold or warm weather, I favor a mug of hot cocoa. I admire cats—their autonomy, grace, and mystery. I awe at the fiery colors in a sunset. I believe in deity. I hear most often with my eyes, and I will trust a facial expression before any accompanying comment. I invent rules, words, adventures, and imaginary friends. I pretend something wonderful every day. I will never quit pretending."
