Rob Coxon is an Australian musician, artist, author and teacher. As a drummer, he has backed a variety of national and international acts including Tommy Tycho, Tony Barber, Daryl Somers, Venetta Fields, Dick Emery, James Morrison, Barry Crocker, Brian Cadd, John English, Lucky Starr, The Platters, The Drifters...... As a member of various blues, rock and jazz bands he has supported Albert King, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Canned Heat, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Lonnie Mack, Mick Taylor (ex Rolling Stones), InXs, Mondo Rock, Midnight Oil, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Mental as Anything, Swanee, Misex, The Swingers, John Paul Young, The Stylistics, Rita Coolidge...... He has performed at many festivals including The East Coast Blues Festival, Jazz in the Vines, Jazz in the Pines (Norfolk Island), and had numerous articles published in international music magazine Modern Drummer. As a painter Rob has had seven solo and group shows, although his paintings have taken a back seat now that the adult colouring book craze has bitten him. A handsome man, Rob lives in Lake Macquarie City, NSW, Australia with his family, and continues to play his drums and churn out strange drawings for you to colour in.
