For people living with a child or adult with autism, special needs, or any life situation that is emotionally difficult: If you feel like you have reached the end of your rope and have run out of solutions,  Space of Love offers an energizing lifeline and a brand new perspective on how to approach many personal concerns.  This book centers the reader. It offers hope and inspiration. Anytime a person needs an emotional pick-me-up, it provides a soothing surge of self empowerment. Like healing meditation, you'll find yourself wanting to read this book again and again.  The author posits: What if the stress and strain you feel is not coming from the challenges or the obstacles in your life, condition of autism, or your child's or another loved one's behavior? The answer to that question--a profound understanding of the human experience--is the gift of Space of Love .  This highly acclaimed book is based on Gayle Nobel's 34 years of coping with the challenges of raising an autistic son combined with her more recent insights as a transformative life coach. Through deeply honest, inspiring personal stories and insightful poetry, Gayle takes the reader on an amazing journey as she explores the power of thought, resilience, wisdom, innate well-being, and most of all love in creating the experience of living with autism.  Space of Love  is not just for those touched in some way by autism, but for anyone seeking to discover and release their own natural resilience.   Readers may shed a few tears, smile, and walk away with a totally new awareness of the human experience after reading Space of Love . "...beautiful and profoundly moving ... a gift to the world. Simple, honest, heartfelt truth on every page!" --Kimberly Hare, author of The Heart of Thriving: Musings on the Human Experience "Gayle's inner wisdom resonates throughout the book, inspiring hope and nourishing the soul." --Connie Hammer, author of Autism Parenting: Practical Strategies for a Positive School Experience Writing Space of Love was an amazing experience! My intention was to go much deeper than my first two books, It's All About Attitude and Breathe on living with autism.  I wrote this book for YOU, the person who may be raising a special needs child, particularly one diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. I want you to know that I understand. I get it. I have been walking this walk for a very long time and special needs parenting asks a lot of us as moms and dads.  I want you to know there is resilience, peace and grace available to you on this journey. No matter how much you may be thrashing around in deep waters, you can and will come up for air and experience your well being.  In this regard, Space of Love is more than another autism book.  I also wrote this book for YOU, the person who may have a life challenge you did not want or choose. You may be struggling and straining or feel like you are surviving rather than thriving. Autism is my thing and yours may be something else. We all have "a thing". The lessons and messages here can impact you too.  My experience in training to become a life coach, then a transformative life coach, coaching clients and being a client myself, had a huge influence on each personal story and poem I share in Space of Love .  I felt as if the stories were almost writing themselves, particularly the poetry. This was my first public venture into the world of poetry and I have been deeply moved by reader feedback on this aspect of the book.  My intention was to create a heart connection with the reader , particularly parents of children and adults with special needs and autism. This was not meant to be a book that puts a "positive spin" on autism but one that is honest, heartfelt, and encouraging. I had some profound personal insights while writing each story and poem in Space of Love .  I know it feels like there is barely a moment to read sometimes. This is why each story and poem stands alone and can be read in five minutes or less. Space of Love is a book that can be sipped or devoured. It's up to you.  If you are raising a special needs child, or challenged by someone with autism spectrum disorders, Space of Love is a must read. If you are a human being wanting a deeper understanding of the human experience, Space of Love will be a catalyst to fresh insights.  What sets Gayle apart? Gayle has an adult son with severe autism.
