Will Kimberly the cat discover the difference between being spoiled and being loved? Book 1: Kimberly the cat had it all—caviar, a mansion, diamonds!—until it was all ripped away. SOLD! And Kimberly? Dumped at a yard sale. If that wasn’t humbling enough, it was Signey, a freckled twelve-year-old girl, who adopted her. A commoner no less. Now, Kimberly must endure Rhonda the Honda, Stuart the baby, and cheese curls (whatever those are). Kimberly must rescue Fred the goldfish, who is determined to escape his bowl, while avoiding the dreaded visit to the vet. In this Christian series, Kimberly begs God to let her be spoiled again. Will Kimberly finally bond with Signey and her family, or will she escape with a new wealthy heiress? Biblical values. Family-friendly stories. Kimberly the Cat Series: (Read in order) Spoiled - Lavish - Posh - Royalty - Charming - Switched - Squeezed Interview with the Author Q: Why a story about a cat? A: Cats have been with us for such a long time, it's time for another story from a cat's point of view! Think of the many wonderful and famous cats that make up beloved stories: Garfield, DC from That Darn Cat, Jake from The Cat From Outer Space , Tao in The Incredible Journey , Bagheera from The Jungle Book , The AristoCats , Puss in Boots in Shrek 2 , and who couldn't forget Grumpy Cat, Cole and Marmalade, and even Nala on Instagram. All of these cats have been a part of some hilarious stories! Now it's time for Kimberly to tell hers. Q: Why is the age range for a reader of Spoiled ? A: Spoiled was written as a middle-grade novel. That category typically encompasses children from age 8 to 12 years old. However, an advanced reader of a younger age will still enjoy Spoiled's humor and laughs as well as older readers, including adults, who are looking for a well-told story without all the influences of bad language, sex, or political agendas. Q: What is the worldview within the story of Spoiled ? A: The Spoiled series of books is written from the Christian point of view. An author's worldview can't help but emerge in his work. C.S. Lewis discusses this in his writings about coming up with the story of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe . Kimberly herself prays to God, although rather self-centered, and even questions if God has made a mistake. But as the story unfolds, Kimberly experiences grace and love from Signey and witnesses the girl's humility and repentance. By the end, Kimberly herself expresses her own humility, even if it is only a taste of it! The character arc and themes of friendship, grace, and earthly riches vs. love are rooted in Biblical truths. Q: Are there going to be more books in the Spoiled series? A: Yes, the series is underway! Stay tuned for more life and adventures with Kimberly, Signey, Fred the Fish, Stuart, Mother & Father, and even Ms. Goldborn who will likely reappear, and sooner than Kimberly would like. Audiobook versions are also in the works, so look out (or listen out) for them. About the Author   Rob got a chance to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind on TV when he was a kid. This was a rare treat since PBS & Disney were usually the strict norm. But just as Roy & Jillian, having desperately climbed the jagged rocks of Devil's Tower, rounded the corner to see the government's secret landing strip to see the impending alien visitation, Mom calmly announced, "Bedtime." With no VCR and no time to spare, Rob threw his boombox in front of the TV while he brushed his teeth. He hit record on the one empty audio cassette tape that he owned.    The next day, school was agony. It is still on record to have been the longest day ever. As the school bus finally dropped him off, Rob remembers sprinting up their quarter-mile stone driveway. Locking himself in his bedroom with the lights off and the heavy curtains pulled, he attacked the play button. Audio began to play.    Unbeknownst to Rob, the last half hour of Close Encounters has very little dialog and is mostly music. He had NO idea of what was going on visually in the movie, but—AHA!—that's where imagination began! Rob would listen to that audiotape over and over until it nearly wore out. Each time a new ending rose up from the dust. A new set of images, brimming with awe and wonder, fueled with adventure and harrowing deeds, were given the breath of life and walked the earth. Or at least inside Rob's tiny yellow bedroom.    Rob now loves to write! After all, it's his chance to give back to the youth of today some of that Spielbergian magic. Some of that soaring beauty that John Williams himself danced to on the orchestra podium. Even though that cassette tape of his youth is gone, you will often find Rob with the lights off, the heavy curtains drawn,... imagining in the dark.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
