Stanley is an 8-year-old orphan who happens to have an exceptional memory and his curiosity with science and books leads him on the unexpected and comical pathway to medical school. This novel, in the spirit of Roald Dahl, takes a comical and satirical look at medical school education, as Stanley is accepted into school and navigates his way through the first year, encountering a variety of colorful characters and memorable moments. Richard is a physician who grew up in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland and currently lives in the Cleveland area. He has written over 500 scientific research papers, review articles and book chapters. He is the author of several medical textbooks as well as 2 prior book of poetry (A Thousand Pieces and Appointed Times) and a novel ( In the Greater Realms of Light).
