The dragon part comes from the clan name of the enemy warriors. Their society is based on a skewed version of the ancient Japanese Samurai codes where loyalty is more honored than justice or mercy.   This first book of the Dragon Spawn Chronicles mostly follows the life of a young warrior with a troubled past. My development of this story began many years ago with simple daydreams triggered by the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Suddenly Human". In 2014, the scope of the story had grown so large that I decided to write it down. StarFire Dragons was published in 2020. The second novel, The Dragon Emperor , in 2021.
