This model features bi-directional charging , designed to keep the start battery fully charged when the house bank has solar or other input. The reverse charging can be up to one-third of the unit's forward-charging rating. This is great for long-term storage, as well as when there are house loads running off the start battery. Reverse charging is triggered when the house battery is on charge and above the start battery voltage, and can be disabled if desired. It can also be manually triggered in Jump Start Assist mode to provide 20 minutes of charging in the event the start battery has been drained.
Automatic operation is configurable and can be triggered by input voltage, ignition feed, or vibration. An optional remote displays operational status, and allows for setting custom profiles and for limiting output to 65% or 85% of max capacity.
