In 1989 he began a decade of service as an Air Force meteorologist, and several years later moonlighted as an on-air weathercaster for ABC in Abilene and for AFKN in Korea. In 1992 Tim began writing a library of weather analysis software tools, and in 1996 he settled in the chase mecca of Norman, Oklahoma.
