This book describes the successful reforestation in South Korea during the last half century in a documentary style in relation to the ex-president Park Chung-Hee whose strong leadership made the reforestation projects successful. The Kirkus Indie Review describes it as follow: "A Seoul National University Professor recounts the transformation of South Korea from barren moonscape to tree-filled landscape and the pivotal role in that process by former President Park Chung-Hee." Professor Emeritus, Dr. Lee Kyung-Joon graduated from the Department of Forestry, Seoul National University, South Korea and studied at the University of Wisconsin, Madison for the M.S. and the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA for the Ph. D. After some years of research at the Institute of Forest Genetics, Korea, he served for twenty-five years as a professor at the Department of Forest Sciences, Seoul National University. He founded the University Plant Clinic, served as a director for the Clinic, and retired from the university in 2010. He was the President of Korea Forest Society, and a Committee Member of Cultural Heritage in Cultural Heritage Administration. He has written and co-authored several books on forestry and trees, which include "Tree Physiology" and "Maintenance of Landscape Trees". He also wrote books in Korean on the history of Korean forestry focused on forest rehabilitation which included "A Pioneer Who Planted Future in Forests" and "A miracle Made by Park Chung-Hee: From Bald to Dense Forests".
