Sunny Slope Mercenary Game otherwise known as SSMG is a tabletop Role Playing Game designed for experienced and mature Role Players. It assumes that the players have access to at least one other game system which supports spells. This is because while SSMG has a full and complex Mystic system it expects you to steal the spells from as many other systems and sources as you have access to. The SSMG differs from the common systems in several ways, utmost in that it has three different and interchangeable levels of play. For example if the Narrator does not like the Basic set of Stats they can use the Common or Advance Options. Basic, Common, & Advance are the names of the three levels, with each granting more and more complex options. We use the term Narrator to describe the person who runs the game as we believe that it is the Narrator that leads the Collective Storytelling. For it should be a story told between friends rather than an exercise to see if the players can beat the dungeon. While SSMG is a “New” game based on publication dates it is actually nearly 30 years old based on development. Over the years many players and Narrators have worked to create it. Indeed, the current volume has little resemblance to the game even 10 years ago. We have waited until the system has matured rather than rushing out an unbalanced product. While the Sunny Slope Mercenary Guide is the core set of rules, there are additional volumes covering such things as Monsters, Gods, Worlds, even a theoretical volume supporting the mystic system. These are provided to help flesh out the Narrator’s options and the players’ experience. We at SSMG Games hope you’ll have as much fun playing as we have in creating!

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
