In 1949, Los Angeles private investigator Tony Kidd takes on a seemingly routine case for a wealthy, powerful business owner. The case turns upside down when a dead body is discovered. This forces Tony Kidd to confront a new city, new people, and his past, which he has desperately tried to avoid.
