Her work has been translated into almost a dozen languages and has been adapted for dance, theater, and radio. She lives in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State and in New York City. Francesca Assirelli studied painting at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Naples. She has illustrated many Italian, French, and English children's books, including Talia and the Rude Vegetables and Talia and the Very YUM Kippur . She loves children and animals, especially squirrels!
