But there are some smart choices that Black women can make now to reverse course, one of which is incorporating healthy tea into their daily lives. However, given the many cultural threads that make up the American tapestry, what is deemed ‘healthy’ may differ from one culture to another. As tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world , after water, it’s the one staple which for thousands of years has crossed the cultural divide. Tea is not just a warm drink for a cold night, or an iced refreshment for a hot day. Whether you consume it as a plant, spice, or herb, in its truest form, tea’s medicinal health benefits can not be ignored, and this is something Black women should know.
