"I will always remember Grandma and Grandpa. Who will you remember?" An excerpt by Ted-D . For people of all ages. A moving story about memories, traditions, and never forgetting those who have died. With the death of Ted-D's grandparents, Alec-the-Cat helps Ted-D understand that it is OK to hurt, cry, and miss someone. Yet, they will always be near us in our hearts and in our minds. Ted-D's birthday begins with playing in the park and then a trip to the cemetery to visit his grandparents. During the course of the day, Ted-D learns that through memories and traditions his grandparents will always be with him. There's even some surprise symbolism for Ted-D! (And the reader too.) A story that is easy to understand for all ages and brings about opportunity for questions and answers. The answers given by the reader will coincide with how they believe in death, not anyone else. And that is where this book is nice. It is a steppingstone to open communication on a very difficult subject for people of all ages and religions. Non-religious, too. Alec Gould has authored a column in a magazine for a few years then transitioned into books. Those books include genres from children's stories to stories about life to Edgar Allan Poe type stories. At any one time, Alec is working on short stories and novels. He and Alicia cover the writing circuit through out Wisconsin signing books and getting photos taken with their readers. When not writing, Alec might be found on his motorcycle riding the back roads of Wisconsin, Upper Michigan or Minnesota. When not on the bike, he might be seen playing saxophone in a number of bands. At home, he enjoys metal detecting/magnet fishing, bird watching, working in the yard, gardening, canning or out in his shop working on motorcycles.
