Teen Trouble is a compelling memoir of a mother's attempts to rescue her son from the perils of adolescence. When her son makes poor choices that will affect his life and his future, Debbie dives right in using every resource at her disposal in order to prevent the train wreck that she sees coming. While the resources prove to be helpful, she continues to have power struggles with her son about marijuana, alcohol, truancy and failing grades. She eventually finds some resolution by examining her own biases and role in this conflict. Most parents will be able to relate to the universal themes in this book as well as the humor which seems to pop up at the most unexpected times.
