When the smoke from a science lab explosion clears, Jax and Zoe find themselves in a world where magic and mermaids are real, fairytale characters have come to life, and there’s no school. But all they want to do is get back home to Los Angeles. That is, until they discover that a tap-dancing clown is kidnapping children for a game that mixes virtual reality with magic. The kids are being turned into animal avatars, and Jax and Zoe know they have to help. But saving the kids and getting back alive will put them to every test―they’ll have to use their brains, their talents, and every ounce of their courage. Can two teens from L.A. really pull off a rescue mission in a dimension they can barely navigate?
