Mark Forester was born in Redding, California. When he was young, his parents moved to Texas. While growing up in Texas, Mark attended school, was involved in sports, scouting, and church activities. Mark was the oldest of ten children. Throughout his childhood and teen years, he heard many people preach, teach, and testify that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. During his teenage years, Mark wanted to know if Joseph Smith was what he claimed to be. He was fascinated with The Prophet and his teachings. This fascination led him to spend long hours studying and praying to find out if Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. The Holy Ghost revealed to him that Joseph Smith truly was without question a true Prophet. Mark's feelings regarding The Prophet can be expressed in the words of President Wilford Woodruff, when he stated, "No greater prophet than Joseph Smith ever lived on the face of the Earth save Jesus Christ." ! Also during these years, Mark received his Eagle Scout Award and graduated from Seminary. After graduating from High School, Mark served a Mandarin Chinese-speaking mission in the california Arcadia Mission. Once his mission was finished, Mark was married in the Boise Idaho Temple. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boise State University. He has served in various callings in his wards and stakes, such as Assistant Scoutmaster, Stake Missionary, Sunday School President, and Ward Mission Leader. Mark finds great pleasure in studying Church history and doctrine, as well as politics, government, and law. He also enjoys writing about various Church-related subjects and politics. Mark has spoken out on many national and civic issues of the day. He currently works as a computer lab technician aat Boise State university, and resides in Eagle, Idaho, with his wife, Vicky, and two boys.
