My dog Sam could sense that I was not feeling well so he started to tell me about the first part of his life. I not only found his story entertaining but it was also uplifting. I had to write it down. After I begun writing it, I let family and friends read Sammy's story and they encouraged me to let the public have the opportunity to share in his adventures. My brother and his family had adopted Sammy from an animal shelter. He spent his first year with them until they had to move and was unable to take him with them. My wife and I agreed to take care of him for two weeks until my brother could find him a new home. Well he has become part of our family and his adventures have kept us laughing. Everybody that has met him has fallen in love with him, and they have said that someone should write the adventures of Sammy Fisher. THE ADVENTURES OF SAM FISHER It's Ruff to Be A Puppy By C.R. I am a big red dog, and I have been told I am a mixed breed, my Doggie Mommy was from Germany, I think she was called Shepard, My Doggie Daddy must have been from France because they called him Chow, He could have been from China or maybe named after the people food, I'm not sure. But this is my story. I was born sometime when the weather turned cold in the year of 2002. I had to share my Mommy with 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Daddy left before we were born. Mommy said he was on business. When I finally got my eyes open I saw a very large and strange looking creature who only used two legs when it walked and sounded funny when it barked. I asked Mommy what it was. She told me that it was called a human. I don't remember much about the early days. I do remember that my brothers, sisters and I would romp and play in our own little world until Mommy fed us and told us that it was time to go to sleep. One day our humans wanted us to see, what they called the real world. They placed us on a cold green carpet, called grass, I could feel my hair moving, this was my first experience of wind, I didn't like it much but my curiosity got the best of me. We explored this new world with wonder. There was a place that we could see through but could not go through. After running back and forth along this barrier we decided this was as much of the real world as there was to see. After running and playing we were very sleepy so the humans took us back inside and we all took a long nap, thinking tomorrow we could explore once again, but things changed that night. This is where my adventure really begins. We all woke up looking forward to another fun filled day. We ate our breakfast and were looking forward to our next adventure when our humans put all of us, except for Mommy, into their motion machine and took us to a hotel. We went to the playroom first, I liked it there because there were all kinds of new toys to play with. Then strange humans scooped us up and put us in little boxes that were made of bars. I thought that this must be a jail. Mommy had told us that jails were where you went when you were bad. Had I done something bad? I could not figure out what had I done, I wanted my Mommy. One day these new humans took me to a big white room and said I needed an operation to make me more desirable to humans. My brothers and sisters watched as I was carried away. I did not realize that this would be the last time I would see them. I wondered what was wrong with me that I needed an operation. Maybe I was to get my tonsils out or a facelift, but since I was a kid I figured it was tonsils. Not the case, I woke up with a bandage on my tummy. I must have been
