It moves away from the court room and is more personal to Sabre. I really enjoy the character interactions. They are believable and not trite. The action is some times a little unexpected but not over done. I enjoy books that are well written and have me guessing I think I know what's going to happen and then am proved wrong. Most people don't enjoy knowing the end a third of the way through a book and I'm no exception. You will not know how it ends - until the end! Author Teresa Burrell has done a fabulous job in creating characters that her readers will connect with, relate to and truly come to care about. If that isn't a hallmark of an excellent author, I'm not sure what is. Her writing style is crisp and authentic, and her scene setting skills are second to none. Any reader who loves an exciting murder mystery, action, adventure, or just an excellent work of fiction in general should absolutely read this book. However, this book can stand alone so you can read it first if you choose.  I've really enjoyed writing this series because it hits close to home. The main character is Sabre Orin Brown (her initials are S.O.B.) and she is a juvenile court attorney. Her best friend, Bob, works alongside her, and her P.I. is a real cowboy. They all tend to get themselves in a lot of messes as they try to protect their clients. This book was particularly fun to write because it ventured into territories unknown to my characters.
