This is an omnibus of the Apocrypha of the Knight Shamans: The First Knight Shaman, The Second Book of the Knight Shamans, and The Third Book of the Knight Shamans. These works are merged into a cohesive chronology in this one volume. There are three ages in the World of Paradigm Lost. The Founder's Age holds the Apocrypha of the Knight Shamans. The Age of Jamari holds the books of the life and times of Jamari Shaman. The Age of the Church of Jamari holds the tales of the formation of a church based on the miracles of Jamari. The First Knight Shaman Magical Realism. Shamanism. Post-apocalyptic survival. Coming of age. Found Family. All of that and more in a short adventure in future Oregon after the great Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquakes have ravaged the west. Meet Rodney, a seven year old boy who can see the spirits of the dead. Meet Justin, a mostly-absent father who still wishes the best for his son. Meet AJ, the bridge between them and commander of the militia forces sent to liberate the community of Sutherlin from their overlords. During Jamari's time (2115 CE), the Knight Shamans were the glue that held the Elk Creek Tribe together. In Justice's time a thousand years later, the Knight Shamans were a forbidden myth from the far distant past. More fable than reality. In the beginning (2052 CE), the Knight Shaman was Mystic, prophet, and wise man who could heal with a touch. Before the beginning there was a boy becoming a man becoming a legend. The Second Book of the Knight Shamans : Peter is just one year old when his family is stranded in the wilderness after the quakes destroyed roads, bridges, buildings, and civility. His father and mother struggle to bring him home to their city of Sutherlin, Oregon through a nine-year odyssey. Then, at the very gates of their home, they find themselves under attack by the townsmen they counted on for refuge. Follow Peter, and Wayne and Carrie as they struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world, meeting friends and foes all of whom set the path ahead for young Peter to either survive or perish. This is a counter-culture work and sharply criticizes the governing forces which want to tear down basic social structures to make way for greater profit at the cost of human decency. Wouldn't it be nice to have some idea of what the term "Woke" means before either accepting or opposing the current US government's anti-woke stance? This is your chance to see how to lift your soul from under the bondage of programming and imprinting society hides it under. Do you dare to look at the alternatives a new paradigm can bring into existence? A Knight Shaman must first awaken his spirit from the deep slumber society and culture buries it under. Then, once they've awakened the inner-self, they must face the Other Worlds before they can use shamanism to bring guidance from the greater spirits to aid mankind. Can you, too, become "Woke?" The Third Book of the Knight Shamans: Justin Earl Knight, Founder of the Elk Creek Tribe must face his demons. Literally, he has to put down a demon in his home church! Then, in a world torn asunder by earthquakes and political foibles, his people must deal with the return of a forgotten plague. Rodney, well-established in his role as Shaman of the Elk Creek Tribe must mentor the young Peter into adulthood. While organizing an expedition to establish an ambassadorship to the State of Lincoln. While learning enough about the world of banking to set up the Elk Creek National Bank ... without leaving his tribe open to even further war. While helping Peter find and get himself set up in a medical school. Peter is in love with Rodney. He's debating whether he wants to actually go away to become a doctor. Then he discovers he has shamanic talent himself. There are so many threads to catch hold of and weave together!
