This is an easy-to-follow introduction to the basic elements of art, including values, color, light, lines, edges, depth, and perspective. I’ve read over 1400 art instruction books, including those focused on design, photography, architecture, and geometry. I present blocks of information with clear, color-coded illustrations, and reference almost 300 books, directing the reader to in-depth discussions. Included are tips from many artists and opinions about controversial issues. After organizing and digesting the information, I found some gaps in the knowledge. In many cases, I was able to bridge those gaps. No other such book exists. I know, because I’ve read them all. Some of the information is in my YouTube videos. Just search for my name.
