Natori stands for luxury, high fashion and femininity. Since Josie Natori started out thirty years ago, her company has become a powerful international force. Now The Art of Natori lets us see the ancient paintings, antique shoes, beautiful porcelain, and more that inspire Natori's east meets west ethos. By juxtaposing Natori's gorgeous creations with the priceless Eastern objects that inspire her, The Art of Natori is sure to bring out the inner artist in everyone. Josie Cruz Natori, founder and CEO of Natori Company, literally reconfigured an industry, erasing the boundary between innerwear and outerwear and bringing elegant, sensuous lingerie into the light of day. Born in the Philippines, she moved to New York to study economics at age 17. By 1975 she had been named the first woman vice-president in investment banking at Merrill Lynch. In 1977 she began Natori. Her awards include the Galleon Award; and in 1998 she was chosen as Business Woman of the Year by the NYC Partnership founded by Laurence Rockefeller. In 2007 she was awarded The Lakandula Award by the President of the Philippines. She lives with her husband and son in New York City. Used Book in Good Condition
