My Great Grandfather started several businesses and I wanted to honor him with this story. Edward Andrés Dennis is a Mexican-American Author/Illustrator with Tohono O'odham and Guarijio roots. Before becoming an Author Edward worked as a Special Education teacher in inner city Phoenix at PESD #1. His background in education laid the foundation for his desire to pursue children's literature. Edward is the son of farmworkers and immigrants. His books revolve around his Great Grandfather's Jorge Dennis-Flores and Luz Martinez-Alvarez. Edward has worked for Disney, Shimano, Giant bicycles, Toyota and many other companies as a freelance artist. He works closely with UFW
