THE BUCKTAILS' LAST CALL is the seventh novel in the Bucktails Civil War series. The book describes the last year of Sergeant Bucky Culp's enlistment that was his hardest yet. After deserting the Union Army long enough to marry his darling, Sarah, he barely misses being shot by a firing squad. Embroiled in the Battles of the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House, and Bethesda Church keep him in harm's way until the day he's mustered out of service. But the greatest test of Bucky's character awaits him at Sarah's place in Sharpsburg, Maryland. LAST CALL ends with Sergeant Culp's greatest display of bravery as he handles this personal crisis with the fine fighting spirit instilled in him by the First Pennsylvania Rifles. William P. Robertson graduated from Mansfield University with a B.S. in English in 1972. Since then, he has worked in factories, taught high school English, and run a successful house painting business. He has also been a freelance writer, and his short stories, articles, and poems have appeared in over 500 magazines worldwide. He has published 71 books, as well, in the poetry, horror, and historical fiction genres. In his spare time, Robertson enjoys listening to rock music, following the Pittsburgh Pirates, and taking photos of spooky Northwest Pennsylvania that he calls home. Currently retired, David Rimer taught speech and English at Bradford Area High School in Bradford, PA. He received his B.S. degree from Clarion University and his MEd from Edinboro University. He began collaborating with William P. Robertson in 1989, and together they've written seven Bucktail novels and the French and Indian War Alleghenies series. David enjoys gardening with wife, Marcia, watching Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, and fishing for trout, pike, and bass.
