This collection is as delightful as it is unusual! Included here are some of S A Butler’s notions, observations and short stories, many of which rhyme effectively in comfortable verse. These morsels have the feeling of familiarity, some will linger beyond the page. This volume combines his first two collections with several additions. His “Awaken the Wood” appeared online in Fine Woodworking Magazine, his poems “A Good Walk” and "Window of Lace" were selected for ‘Walt’s Corner’ in “The Long Islander Newspaper”. Included in several anthologies were “The Irish Shop”, “The Engineer’s House” and “The Whale”. Extolling the virtues of an antique house and host is “Samuel Seddon’s Tavern” recently seen in Newburyport Magazine. His many interests include woodworking and the theatre. He is a member of one of the oldest theatre clubs in the country whose productions have been mounted annually since 1884. His roots are in Bangor, Maine and he makes annual visits to the Pine Tree State. Residing on Long Island, he enjoys listening to other poets and reciting his own as a regular at the Mid-Island Y Poetry Series.
