Richard is an author who resides in the Portland metropolitan area. He writes about his life experiences through his years serving in the US Air Force, working at International Business Machines and serving his community on his blog at richardarnold4th.wordpress.com In The Crash of Eastern Flight 212, he describes his experience as a passenger on the day of the crash of Eastern flight 212 in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1974. Though most of the passengers on the flight were killed in the ensuing fire, 9 passengers survived and went on to recount their tales of the ill-fated flight on television and in the courts system to address their subsequent hospital care. This book covers the experience of Richard during that ordeal and some of his recollections before and after from his interactions with first responders, hospital staff and others peripheral to the wrongful death court cases.
