I work in a collision repair center and I've put it in the lobby and I've noticed several people thumbing through it and pointing things out to the people they are with. Great job! I spent a year researching, traveling to car museums, and photographing dashboards - including a couple of visits with Jay Leno. What I discovered was a fascinating relationship between car dashboard design, architecture, art, culture, and advertising. Finally, in some ways writing The Dashboard Book was the best of times and the worst of times. About the time I was ready to put The Dashboard Book together I was diagnosed with cancer - multiple myeloma. The next year I spent getting treatments, writing and formatting the book. In short, this project kept me busy and engaged.
