This booklet shows the easy way to learn more than 50 hand embroidery stitches. Start with the simplest family of stitches, master them, and then move on to the next family of stitches, building in small increments on what you know. There is often only a small difference in technique between stitch families and when you have learned that new technique the whole new family of stitches easily opens up to you. The author has placed the families of stitches into a “family tree” that makes it easy to see the relationships among stitches. The process to learn a stitch is a simple as 1-2-3. A numbered stitch map is provided (“up at 1, down at 2, up at 3…”) along with detailed step by step hand drawn illustrations to guide you. This is a great way to build your repertoire of embroidery stitches, one simple step at a time.
