"Terrifying, political inspired, sci-fi horror. Dan Henk's best work to date!" -Jack Bantry, author and publisher of Splatterpunk 'If you are in the select market for a tear-your-face-off race against the powers that threaten to engulf and destroy us all for their own ends, Dan Henk delivers again with The End of the World." -Ashley McGee, Dark Corners Reviews "An ambitious and thrilling large-scale science fiction adventure! I loved it!"- Jeff Strand, author of CYCLOPS ROAD Expertly written, with an unbelievably acute attention to detail, Henk is able to paint meticulous landscapes that we can step through. If you're ready to peer behind the veil, remove the mask, leap the wall to the other side of Armageddon, your ship is waiting. - Bobby Lisse, editor at large Rue Morgue Magazine Henk's 'The End Of The World' is a tale that packs more bare-knuckle punches than Charles Bronson's time behind bars. In a novel bursting at the seams with creative genius, you've little choice but to strap yourself in and prepare for an onslaught of gritty-as-hell mayhem, as the world collapses from the provocative corruption of a bastardised government. Armageddonhas never been so fu-ked up. -DLS Reviews The third novel in my vaguely related series, this stands alone as an end of the world (as we know it) tome, but includes characters whose back story is more heavily detailed in my previous works. Heavily illustrated, I initially planned to create my world in a series of graphic novels. I changed course, with the decision I could be more comprehensive in written works, but still include quite a few full-page illustrations that help visualize the story. The truck ground to a halt and the creature rose. Dismounting with perfect fluidity, it left the door open and headed toward the blockage in steps too synchronized for anything human. Aaron watched until that thing stood at the foot of the rocky barricade, and then he finally dared to breathe deeply, feeling like a giant weight had been momentarily lifted. The very presence of that thing scared him. The creature was making quick work of the rock slide, shoveling aside the boulders as if they were Styrofoam. Its arms were a blur as they tossed aside rocks in a cascade of rubble, resembling darkened streaks that were shooting tan-colored torrents of debris. Rubble pounded the roadsides, the resonating thunderclap booming like dueling jackhammers. The mechanical preciseness made Aaron think about how that thing must have handled the soldiers at the blockade. And probably the cabin, too. He felt his internal temperature rising, his body hair stood on end, and he decided he had to get away from that monster as soon as possible. He uncoiled his legs and stretched the mover the edge of the seat. Inching forward until they were just shy of reaching the floor, he dropped, trying to make as little noise as possible. The pounding of rocks drowned out everything, but it would be just his luck that the monster would pause at the wrong instant.
