Find out as you read the conclusion with a surprise ending which branches into a sequel. It was at a turning point in my life when I started writing fiction; The Epic Catalog is the first one. I had just moved back to Connecticut and was staying with a friend until I decided what I was going to do and where I would like to live. One day, bored out of my mind, I sat down to my computer and just started to write anything that caught my attention. I am generally a no nonsense type of individual, usually writing non‐fiction books. When I reread the first four paragraphs, I thought, "Hmmmm, it looks like a murder mystery, and that something really dreadful had happened." I left it for a while and then a bright idea came to me after a month or so involving the 14 year old Anna Belk, and then it seemed like it was just taking off. The story developed into a genuine full fledged sci‐fi‐ish mystery adventure with very authentic and eclectic characters. For a long time, I didn't have a title, which didn't phase me too much. I figured later onI'd think of one. You always want to have a really fantastic title to impress the media crowd. Sooner than later, I stopped in to see my good friend Steven Gosselin, who happened to do a reading for me. We were trying to think of a catchy title for my book when out of the blue, he blurts out..."The Epic Catalog!" I said," That's it, the title for my book! I was very excited. You know when you have that feeling inside that something is coming together, how excited you are? That is exactly how I felt. I knew that day the title was born. Thank you, Steve, for your quick thinking and your wonderful friendship! I am not really sure how I came up with all the characters in my book except for an over indulgent imagination. I would be writing along when an idea would spark and I would do some Google and internet research and go with it. The places I decided to use in France were a mere whim. I researched areas of where a hospital or airport would be with the idea of a character that happened to be in a surrounding area. The idea of the caves near Saintes‐Maries‐de‐la‐Mer, along the coast of southern France, came from the Cosquer Caves in Marseilles, France. Prehistoric paintings really intrigued me, and I tried to be as realistic as I could. I also used certain events in Paris that were on going to make the characters participating in them more credible. The rest of the book took form as my imagination gave way to whatever took my fancy.I know you will enjoy the book.See you in the sequel... "A definite honest to goodness page turner!"
