This biblically based fable teaches children the consequences of selfishness and how genuine, Christlike kindness can be contagious.      Hadley the farmer is the nicest guy in the land of Thad. He’s always helping his neighbors or giving to the poor, until one day a seed of selfishness takes root in Hadley’s heart. Suddenly, the once-friendly farmer turns fiendish—and to make things worse, his sinful attitude is “reaping” havoc all over town. Can a chance encounter with one of Thad’s littlest residents help restore the farmer’s kindness?   Based on teachings from the book of Ephesians, The Farmer Who Chose to Plant Kindness helps children see how their choices and attitudes influence others, what to do when they sin, and most important, how to sow kindness wherever they go.     "Costi and Christyne have written a wonderful story. The Farmer Who Chose to Plant Kindness is delightful, powerful, and charmingly illustrated. It portrays the beauty of kindness and its profound impact on both givers and receivers. In my 55 years of knowing Jesus, I have never felt a more desperate need for greater kindness among God's people. May the God who says, 'Be kind to one another' use this book mightily not only in the lives of children, but in their parents who need its message just as much." --Randy Alcorn, author of The Treasure Principle "The Farmer Who Chose to Plant Kindness is just the type of book parents should be reading to their children. In a time when children are less kind to others and lack empathy due to increased time in front of a screen, this story provides a tremendous opportunity for parents to instill in them the value of being kind to others through the words of Jesus." --Jim Desmarchais, superintendent at Gilbert Christian Schools Costi W.
