The eleventh Seaver And Long Rider Western adventure from Dave P. Fisher! Wade Chambers struggles to recover from his wound as the ranchers’ meeting regarding the Foster property takes place at the ranch. A group of men, led by Guy Simmons, turns the meeting into chaos in an attempt to create a free-for-all where land and cattle can be seized without regard to ownership. The troublemakers are shut down and dispersed, but they were merely the diversion for the clandestine plot to retain the valuable property. Jack receives a wire from Ranger Allen in Weatherford that Lily Opal and Monty Johnson were released from their charges with the help of a mystery man from Austin, named Grant. He realizes the battle for the property will take more than dealing with a few rabble rousers. Then, a second wire from Allen reveals the true identity of Grant and Lily, a coffin Jack thought was sealed and buried. The wire puts him on the alert, but not before a failed ambush leaves his mother hanging between life and death. An enraged Jack Seaver doesn’t stop until the bodies are on the ground.
