Archaeologist Jan Fleming learns that Leesa de Maurier’s daughter Janey is in mortal danger from rogue UN agents who have travelled back in Time to steal priceless works of art. She infiltrates the UN Timer facility and shifts to Paris in 1822. Accused of witchcraft, tricked by a fellow time traveler, and captured by highwaymen, Jan struggles to reach Leesa and stop the murder. She meets Antoine, a mysterious, musketeer-like man, and falls in lust, though her feelings are conflicted. She still loves her ex-husband, Andy, but Antoine makes her feel young and desirable again. Captivated with luxurious châteaux, elegant debutante balls, and dashing aristocrats, Jan’s attempts to protect Janey and restore the timeline grow increasingly complex. When she stops a Time shifter from killing Janey, she becomes his target, and she begins to question the wisdom of fixing the timeline.
