The Geology of Montana de Oro State Park & Morro Bay State Park is divided into two parts: Part I focuses on Montana de Oro State Park geologic history, paleogeography, geomorphology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and a discussion of the park's geology. The section ends with a presentation of a walking tour guide of Valencia Peak trail. Part II focuses on the Geology of Morro Bay State Park and its relationship to Morro Rock and the volcanic arc system that produced the geologic structure.
