Lindy Dennison has all but given up on falling in love, until with her best friend Jane they travel to Gettysburg for the annual reenactment of the three day battle. The women encounter the ghost of a Civil War Captain and upon hearing his sad tale believe they might be able to help him find his way to Heaven by investigating his life. What Lindy doesn't realize is that the spirit believes that in order for him to be released from his earthly prison he must help her find love.
