If you're ready to have the life of your dreams, this book is for you."--Chellie Campbell, author The Wealthy Spirit and From Worry to Wealthy Why I Wrote The Gratitude Game. The Gratitude Game is a book I've been developing for about a decade. When I first got into the business of financial literacy, and began teaching investing, budgeting and thriving to professionals, I realized that you could learn a lot over the course of three days and then go home and neglect to put everything you learned into action. So, each year, I would record a 21-day Walk to Wealth coaching call series that was designed to make prosperity and abundance your daily habit. Each day included a mantra, a new mindset, a new tool and an action plan, so that by the end of 21-days, you were automatically thinking from a wealth consciousness perspective and implementing all of the time-proven wealth strategies that are taught in my books and workshops. What I didn't realize when I began my own empowerment journey back in 1998 was how important it is to have a fiscal health tune-up on a regular basis. No matter what stage in life you are at, there are bound to be novel financial problems - and because they are new to you and different from the challenges of the day before, they can catch you off guard. For instance, you are groomed your entire life to go to college, but no one prepares you for the cost and the debt you'll take on to get that diploma. Just when you think you've got it made with your job, you get married and have kids. Just when you take a leap of faith to launch your own business, you realize that you are the last to be paid, and probably keeping the lights on with your own pocket change. Just when your kids graduate from college, your parents need your support. And once you retire, chances are medical costs spiral out of control. Many people will spend more on medical care in the last six months of life than they have earned in their entire lifetime. Each new challenge is best approached with the same ancient wisdom. The Gratitude Game and the coaching calls have become honed over the last decade because I needed the work myself. Going back to these touchstones of truth again and again, and taking the wisdom deeper in my own life, is something that has saved me again and again and again. Since money is so fundamental to our lives, having a great relationship with the flow and essence of income, investing, budgeting and spending helps us to enjoy our careers and families, to love more deeply and even to feel more beautiful. It's hard to look attractive when you are scowling or worried all the time. I have been very honest in the pages of The Gratitude Game - perhaps too honest. I've revealed times in my life when I was desperate, devastated and destroyed. It was important to me to reveal true examples of how the precepts of the book work in real life. It is not my intention to hurt anyone specifically, although there are certainly situations that were very painful for everyone concerned. I look at The Gratitude Game as the third book in an important financial trilogy, alongside The ABCs of Money and Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is (also known as You Vs. Wall Street in paperback). We humans co-create our world. 150 years ago we decided to end slavery. 20 years ago, at the U.N.'s Beijing Conference for Women, we vowed to provide equal access to women in education and decision-making, and to protect them from violence. We haven't yet collectively vowed (or learned how) to put our money where our heart is, to support those businesses that we love and believe make our world better and deny our dollars to those that pollute and destroy our planet in the name solely of profits. But this is the next great social and spiritual evolution. It begins with having a solid, pers
