This species is one of the most spectacular North American serpents. Herpetologists revere it because of the considerable color variability seen throughout its range. This book is the result of 47 years spent by the authors conducting field research within the Big Bend and Trans-Pecos regions of West Texas. The authors spent countless hours hiking and driving, photographing, and documenting Gray-banded Kingsnake behavior and activity patterns.
