This volume contains Part 1 of Maimonides' Guide for the Perplexed in a trilingual interlinear format. Friedlander's English translation, Ibn Tibbon's Hebrew translation, and the Judeo-Arabic text in Hebrew script are set side by side, phrase by phrase, so that the three witnesses can be read together without moving back and forth between separate editions. The aim of this edition is simple: to provide a working text for close study. It is meant for readers who want to follow Maimonides carefully, compare the versions directly, and keep the movement of the argument in view. This volume also includes Samuel Ibn Tibbon's introduction and Friedlander's translator's introduction as appendices.
