Bible Study Companion for the "Tree of Life" or "Jesus Tree" painting by Lynn Downham. Journey through the Old & New Testaments of the Bible to meet the men of the "Christline." See how God's redemptive plan for mankind began with Adam and culminated in the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. The "Tree of Life" or "Jesus Tree" painting had been widely disseminated, but the study guide sat on a shelf waiting... "It's FOR the Jews," whispered the Lord after the artist had marketed the print to the Christian community for over ten years. Here in the fullness of its time is the accompaniment for the popular print, "The Tree of Life." The direct line of descent from Adam to Jesus Christ is traced through King David's son Solomon, and depicted on the Angel Oak of Charleston, South Carolina. Praise for Lynn's painting The Tree of Life, source painting for the book "The Jewish Roots of Christianity": It is absolutely a painting that has the Light of our beautiful Savior and Lord touching every part of it...must bring tears of joy to His eyes! - Jeannie Wow!!! How does one say thank you for such a special work of art?...When I opened the tube...my mouth flew open. All I wanted to do was share it. Actually I will be hanging it in my Sunday School class at Mandarin United Methodist Church as soon as it's framed. There's 70 some members. They all love it. Several asked how to get one.... - Kitty Each stroke depicts such an amazing sense of purpose....This painting is so meaningful to our family. - Jennifer & Jose The leaders of our church were very impressed with it. - Don, Congregation President ...beautiful....I think we will frame it and hang it at our church building to share with all of our brothers and sisters in Christ....We love it. - Chuck & Andrea ...a very unique asset, one that I admire and treasure dearly. - Bishop Joe A letter to Lynn: I would like to share with you if I may how I came about ordering your print. My parents are serious RVers. They have traveled all over the United States, into Canada and Mexico. They recently returned to Maryland after an extended stay in Charleston, South Carolina.... The one thing that both my Dad and Mom could not talk about enough was the day that they went to visit the "Angel Tree." They were so impressed and moved by the "Angel Tree" and as they shared their postcard pictures of that tree they told me about another tree they had seen that day. Apparently on a trip to the restroom my Dad had seen a print of your "Tree of Life." Dad had so much emotion when he described the tree to me. He had made my Mom go see the print...and she too fell under it's spell. They offered to buy the framed print off of the wall but were unable to....My parents are both Christians and seeing the genealogy of Christ put together with the "Angel Tree" really touched them spiritually and emotionally. They spent the remainder of their time in Charleston looking in gift shops, flea markets etc for a copy of your print but were not able to find one. I knew that I had to find one for them so I did an internet search and Praise God, found your website. I thought my Dad would cry when I told him I had located a copy of it for them.... I just wanted to share this with you and to let you know how much your art touches people....it made my day when I was able to give it to them. - Kathy Letter's Lynn Downham has received in response to her painting, The Tree of Life: From BALMORAL CASTLE:5th August, 2004The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for sending Her Majesty a print of your Tree of Life painting. The Queen greatly appreciated your kind thought, and I am to thank you very much again for your gift.Yours sincerely,Jennifer Candan LennoxLady-in-Waiting From the Vatican, January 29, 2000Dear Mrs. Downham,His holiness Pope John Paul II has asked me to thank you for your kind letter and gift of a print of your work, The Tree of Life.
