The Life of Joseph White Musser was one of principle in the face of the most hateful persecution. He was Loved by all who knew him for his self sacrifice and charity. He became known as "Saint" Joseph in his later years, a title lovingly bestowed on him by the many thousands of Latter-Day Saints who looked to him as a Prophet, and an example of righteousness. This book contains the tearful account of how this Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, was cast aside by those who should have been his friends because he would not deny his testimony of the Gospel. Much as the martyrs who went before him, and in similitude of the Christ, He stayed true to principle no matter the cost. Because this work is an autobiography it does not contain the important history of his later years, but it does give a portrait of the man and his humility in the face of his awful calling to preserve the fullness of the priesthood, even while many who should have been Latter-Day Saints discarded it. His love, even for his persecutors, shines through these pages, showing that even in the face of popular disapproval, and rampant apostasy in the church he loved and served; a "Saint" can overcome evil with kindness, and dispel darkness with truth.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
