The first rule of wrestling is do not break kayfabe. The second rule of wrestling is do not break kayfabe. The third rule is do not tell marks that kayfabe exists because that would break kayfabe. Kayfabe is the code wrestlers live by- maintaining the illusion to friends, family, spouses and everyone else to protect the business at all costs. No matter what you do, don’t tell anyone that wrestling isn’t real- kayfabe is the #1 rule of being a pro wrestler.
