Throughout the extensive annals of our Hebrew Yisraelite history, there may not be any prophet and book more overlooked than that of Khaggai. He, along with Ezra and Nekhemyah, is responsible for arguably the most important reform in Yisrael’s history. While there are many lessons we can glean from the Book of Khaggai (and subsequently Ezra and Nekhemyah), the central themes to be extracted is: 1) The ardent desire to reestablish the House and domain for the pure worship of The Most High; 2) The destruction of practices that were a detriment to the integrity of Yisrael as a people; 3) The importance of righteous leadership; 4) The importance of righteous followership, and 5)The importance of the pursuit of unity.“The Khaggai Principle” is a work that attempts to take these themes and illustrate how they can and do parallel our current times, just as the many prophecies and social conditions in scripture do.
