Gregory “G-Rock” Johnson was seventeen years old when he stepped out of the “Will Of God” and made a wrong decision. It was a decision that he regretted and a decision that would haunt him for the rest of his life. But, his story and his cry for redemption and retribution is no different from the hundreds of millions of others, whom since the existence of mankind have been wrongly convicted, misplaced or dehumanized or even castrated by a society of individuals who have been entrusted and vested with the authority to distribute equal justice for all. In his innocence and his inability to foresee the future, G-Rock made a quick decision, a decision without any forethought, a decision blinded by the light as he emerged from his mother’s womb, a decision where his confidant and comforter were both absent, and a decision where he leaned to his own understanding. G-Rock’s decision cost him and it robbed him of his youth, and now his dreams would never materialize, and he was destined for a journey that would take him on an uncharted and unwanted journey. G-Rock’s journey would take him through many dark and dreaded valleys. His journey would consist of many adversities and challenges of life, which were well beyond his level of maturity. But, in his innocence and youth and in the absence of his confidant, he quickly matured and he learned how to adapt to any given situation. G-Rock’s decision came as he was in the will of obeying his mother, but when he stepped out of that will and harkened to a voice with no reasoning and with no good intentions, the results had some dire consequences. G-Rock’s mother had always taught him that the “Safest Place Is In The Will Of God”.
