Brigadier General Joseph was a frontiersman, Indian fighter, and statesman whom very few people have ever heard about. Martin was misfortunate not to have anyone tell his story like Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, etc. There are no books about him. I have been writing a Life and Times series of books for several years about unknown Americans lost to history. I decided to take it upon myself to create this first book solely dedicated to the Life and Times of Joseph Martin. This book will include chapters on his family and friends, about the history of Henry County and the city of Martinsville, Virginia, and other tales associated with Joseph Martin. Once you read this book, you will realize that Joseph Martin was a unique colonial frontiersman, and very few had done as much as he had.
