✅ The Little Panda Story Max the little panda has blue feet, which makes him different. The other animals make fun of his feet and sometimes the teasing makes Max sad. Follow Max on his adventure across the mountain, making new friends, and discovering the value of your differences. ✅ Building empathy and understanding We’re all different and we’re beautiful for it. Empathy and understanding from your child’s peer set isn’t guaranteed, indeed it’s particularly difficult to find especially if you are different in some way from everyone else around you. The developmental years of a child can be a difficult journey, and while one book can’t teach all children empathy and compassion, there are tools available for children encountering pressure from their peers on how to find peace within themselves and a resolve to reinforce a single truth; you may actually be different, but it’s not a bad thing. Differences that separate and exclude now can grow into advantages and be a beautiful defining personal characteristic. Be different, and be proud of it. ✅ Children's Book with Interactive QR Videos The Little Panda and His Blue Feet is a children's book with interactive QR codes on some pages that let you uncover special video animations as you follow Max's journey across the mountain, helping the story to come alive. ✅ How to use the QR Codes Just point your smartphone camera at the QR code and play the video clip on YouTube, where you'll enjoy and experience an extra audiovisual adventure with The Little Panda. ✅ Age recommendation This Little Panda is suitable for ages 3-5 with parents to help them with the book. It’s a great opportunity to have a deeper conversation and some honest dialogue about what it means to deal with sadness, being different and understanding. Ages 6-10 should be able to breeze through it on their own. What's my inspiration behind the story? Having great friends and being yourself are two of the most important lessons I've learned in life. With my book The Little Panda, I wanted to tell a story of how difficult it can be to deal with your differences when you're on your own. There are times when real friendships are the most important missing part of helping you understand why differences are actually totally ok, even if you've been told otherwise all your life. I am blessed to have a solid group of true friends. The type of friends that can see you for the great person - or Panda - that you are. My wish is that everyone finds their "great friend", as Max does when he finds the deer. Let them reinforce that your differences are a great thing to have. Keep looking for them, and let them into your life as those real friends will help you own your uniqueness, leading you on to be a happier and more confident person.
