A war to save the throne of Olympus begins in ancient Greece millennia ago, but reaches a bloody twentieth century climax in the mud and rice paddies of Vietnam. Over time, the weapons and the tactics change the demands for endurance and courage do not. A wild and engaging ride through then and now, goddesses and grunts, arrows and bullets, good and evil." -Donn Wonnell, author of the series '290' "Greeks love storytelling. None more than those of the Olympian gods and goddesses facing warriors, fierce animals and monsters encountered on their heroic quests - the 12 Labors of Hercules, The Trojan Wars, Jason and the Argonauts. The Lost Portal takes such tales to a new level. Six warrior-gods are plunged into modern-day warfare as Green Berets in 1968 Vietnam. The climaxing battle to the death between the Dog Soldiers of Cronus' army and the Legion of Aeneas is worthy of praise from Homer himself." -Dimitra Sterioti, from the foot of the Acropolis, Athens. "Great combination of history and mythology. Really fun to read. I think all of my friends would like it. Exciting action!!."
