Landon Collins is a junior missing persons detective in the New Orleans Police Department. A veteran of the Marine Corps, Landon suffers from his demons of PTSD, anger, insomnia, and borderline alcoholism. As a result, he struggles at his job and just life in general. He and his senior partner Kenny get put on a big case when the four-year-old daughter of a local wealthy family goes missing. Local gangs and even the cartel are on the list of suspects. While enduring yet another insomnia ridden night, Landon stumbles upon the concept of lucid dreaming. He begins utilizing this real-life phenomenon to relive scenes from his past with perfect clarity. This not only gives him a chance to take a second look at crime scenes and conversations he had in the missing persons case, but also allows him to communicate with his subconscious mind to try and pull his life together.
